Acqua Via: Olympia, WA

The first of many restaurant reviews.
We struggled this morning, a night of whiskey cokes and gin sodas took its tole on us. A friend paying a visit to the city of Olympia, WA starts with a night of drinks and ends with a late lunch to clear the fog of a late night before.
Turning the corner or 5th and Capital, a small, trendy cafe sits with large windows and situating its trendy customers with worn wood tables that provide that modern, cultured and bright bistro perspective on a bright Saturday afternoon.
The price agreeable and welcoming for us broke ass college grads struggling to find jobs on a quest for good food. And not just something to fill the stomach. Us two young women want to be emotionally moved by food. Yes we take this shit seriously. We will save up and shell it out for some good eats.

Lady A orders:
Cream of Artichoke Soup with Parmesan and white truffle oil.
Chicken Pesto Sandwich w/ cypress grove goat cheese
Price $9
Thoughts: delicious. order a bowl of the soup next time. A naughty creamy take on the artichoke for sure. Mouth orgasm.

Lady R orders:
Soy cappuccino (not the best but good) $2.5
Warm Seafood Salad $13
- shrimp, perfectly cooked scallops, wheat berries, fava beans, and cherry tomatoes over butter leaf lettuce
Delicious.

Dessert was a hefty slice of carrot cake with a buttery white cream cheese frosting. Absolutely amazing.

The bill was under 35 all together. A great lunch in a small town. A sophisticated, affordable spot for a lunch date. The atmosphere is both relaxed and modern with inspiring art that encourages patience and conversation.

The quote of the meal. It was so good-
"I felt like I was high the whole time"
Balanced flavors that were soft and rounded.
Definitely a 10.
